“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life and the life was the light of men. And the light shined in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” (John 1:1-5)

Regina Smith-White is a Registered Nurse who has worked in the fields of Psych, Cardiolgy ICU, Correctional Nursing and Progressive Care. She has encountered many people of various religions and has been an advid student of Religion, Greco-Roman History and Biblical History.

Although raised in the church she had no religious preference, to her all religions were religions, based on one’s system of beliefs, one’s environment, social setting and family upbringing. As a nurse she encountered many acts that could be considered paranormal or miraculous. But she herself was not convinced until she had a personal encounter with God herself.

This is her story… the story of one who sought out the wisdom of a divine creator and found a King who changed her entire way of thinking. From one who only believed in the God of her grandmothers in passing, to one who experienced the Shikinah Glory and Power of a God she said she did not believe in. On her journey for the truth she stumbled into the grace of this glorious King and in her own words: “There is a God in Heaven who hears us when we call.”

Seven Deadly Sins
“In church tradition, the seven deadly sins are pride, covetousness (greed), lust, envy, gluttony, anger, and sloth (laziness). They are “deadly” because they are so common and easy to fall into. They are also considered capital sins because they cover the gamut of human frailties.”

—

Journey To Jesus
“I grew up in a household and family of sporadic church-goers. My mother often slept in on Sundays and the only time I remember going to church regularly was when we were in trouble. My mother fellowshipped with God quite often: especially when we didn’t have food to eat or clothes to wear. Sometimes I could hear her crying and praying for God outside her bedroom door and I knew we were in trouble again. That doesn’t mean my mother wasn’t a Christian or believed in God.”

Read the rest of chapter 13 here.

—

Faith
“To have Faith is to believe in something or someone. It means to have complete trust. It means to be so confident in what you trust and believe in, that you base all of your actions upon it. Faith is being fully convinced of that thing you believe in.”
